An Army Commander in Logar, Colonel Abdul Matin Hassankhail, says that at least 25 Taliban members, including their key commanders, were killed in an airstrike on a gathering of the militants in Kamalkhail village on the outskirts of Pul-e-Alam, the center of Logar province.

At least two children were killed in an explosion in Chahar Bolak district in the northern province of Balkh, the 209 Shaheen Corps spokesman Mohammad Haneef Rezaee said, adding that the roadside bomb was planted by militants.
A private radio station in Ghazni Province, Radio Samaa, has shut down after numerous threats from a suspected Taliban commander who objected to women working as presenters, officials at the radio station said as quoted in a report by Reuters on Monday.

President Ghani in a statement condemned Taliban attack on a hotel in Badghis and said that despite the Taliban promised in Doha intra-Afghan conference not to attack civilian institutions, but their attack today showed they have not stopped killing people.

Qala-e-Naw,Badghis: Afghan Interior Ministry claiming there were only three attackers out of which two have been killed while fighting is ongoing with the third. But local journalists report more attackers. Situation is unclear. The area is rural so not much info coming out.

U.S. military says a service member has been killed in Afghanistan. Previously, Taliban said they have targeted a U.S. Forces vehicle in a bomb blast in Maidan Wardak.
A group of attackers entered a hotel in Qala-e-Naw, the center of Badghis province, at around 12:40pm local time and are fighting against security forces, the Interior Ministry's spokesman Nusrat Rahimi said.
